Ancient Rome is all the rage in the comic book world. So it is with "Eagles of rome", a work which has for theme the friendship which binds a young barbarian and a young Roman under the Emperor Augustus. Very successful aesthetically, this comic book by Marini is hardly interesting from a historical point of view, and the references are rare or even non-existent.The scenario is quite agreed and the dialogues perhaps a little too contemporary to be credible.What promises to be a saga remains nevertheless pleasant ... to watch.
